Hey, this is a tricky one!
How do you celebrate a fantastic achievement... when you've come second. This is a very real dilemma because you feel incredibly proud of what we've achieved but what you really wanted was the top prize!
Of course we did, and so did our clients DHL. The strange feeling of elation and disappointment was compounded by the fact we missed out on top spot by just one vote. Cue lots of 'groans' and 'aaaaahhh's' - so near yet so far.
To be fair we all thought the winning site was (quite) good, but then our thoughts quite reasonably turn to the comparison of resources available of both time and budget and well, then you think, with a level playing field etc!... but after all we did beat out the cream of the financial and legal world who were the other (eight) shortlisted candidates.
It was a great evening rubbing shoulders with Saatchi & Saatchi, the dicky bows and posh frocks and we're grateful to the wonderful DHL graduate recruitment team with whom it was such a pleasure to work.
OK then we are officially claiming a moral victory! Yaay!

PS Alan Carr was a hoot. I knew his dad you know, he used to play for and manage Telford United FC before he went to Northampton.
